Finau won with a majority 338 votes defeating his opponent Saimone Vuki with six votes ahead. Tevita Vaikona of ‘Uiha came third with 301 votes, two votes away from Sione Finau Tapu. Candidate Tevita Tu’ipulotu came last with 46 votes.
Lord Tu’iha’angana told Parliament the Electoral Commission is finalizing the process before the elected MP can take up his seat.
