Official opening of Parliament postponed to Tuesday 11 January

The official opening of the Legislative Assembly by His Majesty King Tupou VI, which was to be held tomorrow, Thursday 6 January, is now postponed to Tuesday 11 January.

The postponement is due to a technical problem that may affect the livestreaming of His Majesty’s opening address through the internet from the Royal Residence in ‘Eua to the Parliament chamber in Nuku’alofa.
